Stationary Engineer Practical Exam Preparation
This course provides structured preparation for the NYC Department of Buildings Stationary Engineer Practical Exam, which is administered in a live operating boiler plant. Candidates are evaluated by two DOB proctors and are required to demonstrate technical competence in plant layout, equipment identification, system operation, safety controls, and required operating and emergency procedures. Instruction emphasizes real‑world plant conditions, including normal operation, startup and shutdown sequences, and troubleshooting expectations consistent with exam standards. Once a test date is scheduled, candidates receive focused one‑on‑one instructional sessions to reinforce exam‑specific performance requirements and ensure technical readiness.
Tuition is $800. Candidates will have access for one year. Study material will be provided.
Schedule: Every Wednesday from 5 pm to 8 pm on Zoom.
